Editorial policy
Curious Food Journal aims to make food subjects clear, specific and fair. Our editorial choices favour useful explanations over sweeping claims, and our wording should show readers what is known, what varies and what is a matter of taste.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and take care with names, terminology and historical context. Food traditions and cooking practices differ across households and places; we identify the limits of a claim and avoid treating one account as the whole story. We do not present personal taste as fact or make professional medical, legal or financial recommendations.
Independence
Editorial decisions and conclusions are made for the reader, not to guarantee favourable coverage. A product, business or partner does not receive editorial approval simply by appearing in a collaboration. We aim to make the basis of a piece clear and to avoid claims that the available information cannot support.
Corrections
If you spot a possible error, contact us through the Contact page with the article and detail in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making meaningful changes clear to readers where appropriate. We do not promise a particular outcome before checking the issue.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. The nature of a collaboration is described clearly, and partners do not determine our editorial conclusions. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when relevant, that origin is identified near the image.
